Nvidia wants to be “the Android of robotics”

At GTC Taipei, Nvidia introduced the six-foot Isaac GR00T humanoid — body from China’s Unitree, hands from Singapore startup Sharpa, brain on Nvidia’s Jetson Thor platform — packaging every layer of a working humanoid into one product as a “reference design” others can buy or copy. The thesis: six companies are solving the same balance, grasping and simulation problems six separate ways, and Nvidia is moving to standardise the stack.
